Week of October 16, 2023

The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of October 16. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  1. Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps throughout the week.
  2. Load out from back parking lot and live load of dumpsters on Bow Street will continue.
  3. The drainage tie-in at Arrow Street will be completed. A police detail has been requested.  
  1. The jersey barriers will be reset along Upper Bow Street.
  2. This includes a bike lane closure at Bow Street down to DeWolfe Street.
  3. Work is in coordination with Cambridge DPW.

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:

  1. Masonry work on the exterior façade will continue.
  2. Roofing abatement at Westmorly will continue.
  3. Scaffolding installation will continue along the Plympton Street & South of Westmorly elevations. 
  4. Man/material hoist will be operating while the site is open.
  5. On weekdays the lift will operate until 6:00pm.
  1. A crane is scheduled to remove debris from the roof.
  2. Steel will be delivered for the shoring of Westmorly. 
  3. A boom truck will be staged in the back parking lot to assist with the steel erection. 

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  1. Interior rough carpentry will continue.
  2. Abatement will continue inside Westmorly and Russell Hall.
  3. Interior demolition of Westmorly and Russell Hall.
  4. Saw cutting of Russell Hall slab will continue.

WORK HOURS:

  1. Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 3:30pm with second shifts from 3:30pm to 10:30pm (No exterior noise after 6:00pm)
  2. Saturday 10/21 – 9:00am to 4:30pm
