The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of May 27. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.
PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:
- Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
- Starting Thursday, May 30, the project team is coordinating water main disconnections to complete tie-in activities along Bow and Plympton Streets.
EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:
- Masonry work will continue on the exterior façade of all buildings.
- Masonry rebuilds for the Russell Hall and Westmorly chimneys are ongoing.
- Masonry rebuild of the window bays at the east elevation of Westmorly is progressing.
- Window framing repairs will continue at Westmorly.
- Scaffolding continues to be erected on the northeast and east elevations of Russell Hall.
- The erection of the permanent steel structure within Westmorly is ongoing.
- This activity will require a crane in the back parking lot on Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29.
- A concrete truck will be placed inside of the site fence for a concrete placement on Tuesday, May 28.
- Demolition work will occur at the Cupola.
- Excavation activities will take place in the Conservatory Area for utilities and new mechanical tunnels.
- A hoist will be operating while the site is open.
- On weekdays the lift will operate 7am-3:30pm and on Saturday it will be in operation from 9am-4:30pm.
INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:
- Interior framing and drywall activities will occur in Westmorly.
- Excavations for under slab utilities within Westmorly continues.
- Installation of new mechanical systems within Westmorly is ongoing.
- Installation of the elevator shafts within Russell Hall and Westmorly will take place.
- Steel erection will occur in Russell Hall and Westmorly.
- Demolition activities will take place in Russell Hall to support installation of new steel framing.
WORK HOURS:
- Please note the job site will be closed for Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, May 25 and Monday, May 27.
- Tuesday to Friday: 7am to 3:30pm.
- Saturday, June 1: 9am to 4pm.
