Week of June 3, 2024

The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of June 3. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  • Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
  • The project team is coordinating water main disconnections to complete tie-in activities along Bow and Plympton Streets.

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:

  • Masonry work will continue on the exterior façade of all buildings.
  • Masonry rebuilds for the Russell Hall and Westmorly chimneys are ongoing.
  • Masonry rebuild of the window bays at the east elevation of Westmorly is progressing.
  • Window framing repairs will continue at Westmorly.
  • Scaffolding continues to be erected on the northeast and east elevations of Russell Hall.
  • The erection of the permanent steel structure within Westmorly is ongoing.  
    • This activity will require a crane in the back parking lot on Thursday, June 6.
  • A pump truck will be placed inside of the site fence for a concrete placement on Wednesday, June 5.
  • Demolition work will occur at the Cupola.
  • Excavation activities will take plce in the Conservatory Area for utilities and new mechanical tunnels.
  • A hoist will be operating while the site is open.
    • On weekdays the lift will operate 7am-3:30pm and on Saturday it will be in operation from 9am-4:30pm.

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Interior framing and drywall activities will occur in Westmorly.
  • Excavations for under slab utilities within Westmorly continues.
  • Installation of new mechanical systems within Westmorly is ongoing.
  • Installation of the elevator shafts within Russell Hall and Westmorly will take place.
  • Steel erection will occur in Russell Hall and Westmorly.
  • Demolition activities remain ongoing in Russell Hall to support the installation of new steel framing. 

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 3:30pm.
  • Saturday, June 8: 9am to 4pm.
