Week of July 29, 2024

The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of July 29. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  • Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps throughout the week.

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:

  • Masonry work on the exterior façade will continue for all buildings.
  • Masonry rebuild for the Russell Hall & Westmorly chimney’s will continue.
  • Masonry rebuild of the window bays at the East Elevation of Westmorly will continue.
  • Window frame repairs will continue at Westmorly.
  • Erection of the permanent steel structure will continue within Russell Hall & Westmorly.
    • Concrete placement scheduled for Thursday 8/1. Pump truck will be within site fence.
  • Excavations for utilities and new mechanical tunnels will continue in the Conservatory Area.
  • Man/material hoist will be operating while the site is open.
    • On weekdays the lift will operate 7:00am-3:30pm

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Interior wood framing will continue in Westmorly.
  • Drywall and framing will continue within Westmorly.
  • Excavations for under slab utilities within Westmorly will continue.
  • Mechanical contractors will continue with installation of new systems within Westmorly.
  • Masonry contractor will continue with the install of the elevator shafts in Westmorly Court.
  • Permanent steel erection will continue within Russell Hall and Westmorly.
  • Spray fireproofing will continue within Russell Hall and Westmorly.
  • Floor prep install will continue with Russell Hall.
  • Steel and concrete demolition will continue within Russell Hall to support new steel framing installation.

SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH IMPACTS:

  • Continue with masonry work adjacent to 9 Bow and 22 Plympton.
  • Material loading for masonry and carpentry work via Rear Lot.
  • Next crane pick scheduled for Monday 7/29.
  • Spray foam insulation truck will be parked within site fence to facilitate spray foam insulation within Westmorly.

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
  • Saturday 8/3 – Site Open from 9:00am to 4:00pm
