The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of October 28. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.
Dates 10/28/24 to 11/2/24:
PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:
- Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
- Water service work will continue next week on Wednesday, October 30. This work will require a water shutdown, coordinated with the Cambridge Water Department, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The work will be conducted within the site fence.
- There will be a crane onsite that will require Bow & Arrow Streets to be closed on Saturday, November 2 at 12:00 AM to Sunday, November 3 at 5:00 AM. A noise variance has been coordinated with the City of Cambridge. Detours and police details will be present.
EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:
- Masonry work on the exterior façade will continue to take place for all buildings.
- Roofing installation will take place on the Russell Hall & Library Commons roofs.
- New copper cladding installation will continue at the Russell Hall Tower.
- Window frame repairs remain ongoing at Westmorly & Russell Hall.
- A hoist will be operating while the site is open.
- On weekdays the lift will operate 7:00am-3:30pm
INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:
- Framing and drywall will continue within Westmorly & Russell Hall.
- The installation of new systems will continue within Westmorly & Russell Hall.
- Spray foam insulation will continue within Westmorly.
SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH IMPACTS:
- Masonry work continues adjacent to 9 Bow and 22 Plympton Street.
- Masonry and carpentry work will load in via Rear Lot.
- Spray foam insulation truck will be parked within site fence to facilitate spray foam insulation within Westmorly (Monday-Friday).

- Saturday, November 2 – Site Open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
