The following summarizes the utility work planned in the Littauer Lot for the week of November 25. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.
Dates: 11/25/24-11/27/24
PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:
- Fencing will remain in place to area of Littauer tie-in.
- Fencing will remain in place to the west and south of Austin Hall with Pedestrian Detours marked. Walkway between Austin Hall and Hemenway Gymnasium will remain open for access.
EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:
- Formwork, reinforcing installation and placement for the roof slab of EMH-N3A will occur within site fence.
- Duct bank excavation from Littauer Tie-In to EMH-N3A will continue within site fence.
- Removal and replacement of existing drain manhole near Littauer Tie-In will begin within site fence. Abutters can expect some noise, and vibration impacts due to the removal of the existing drain manhole.
- Backfill and restoration of duct bank to west and south of Austin Hall will begin within the site fence. Abutters can expect some noise, and vibration impacts during the compaction of soil and asphalt.
OTHER IMPACTS:
- ProCut will be on site Monday, November 25 to core holes for duct bank tie-in to Littauer. Coring activity does generate some noise.
WORK HOURS:
- Monday – Wednesday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Jobsite will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday November 29 for Thanksgiving.
- No work is planned for Saturday, November 30.
