Week of February 18, 2025

Starting next week, Tuesday, February 18, neighbors will observe the contractor setting up a temporary tent structure on the west side of the William James Hall Plaza.  Project materials will continue to be delivered by way of Divinity Ave with truck traffic to the site expected to increase beginning next week as well.

Project Schedule 

  • Project work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Some Saturday work between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. may be necessary.
  • The plaza renovation project is targeting an April 2026 completion date.

Community Impacts

  • Neighbors can anticipate an increase in activity on the plaza next week with the installation of a temporary tent structure. Also, some additional noise may be noticed due to the increase in trucks and project-related deliveries arriving on site by way of Divinity Ave.
  • Pedestrian access into William James Hall via the front entrance and access along Kirkland Street will be maintained throughout this work. Some pedestrian paths may be detoured at times. Signage is in place to provide guidance.
  • Please note that all work will be performed outdoors within the site fence. 
  • Trash and debris are being maintained within the site fencing and disposed of promptly.
  • The contractor’s site office, storage, material laydown area, dumpster, and portable bathrooms have been positioned in the building’s back parking lot.
