Week of March 3, 2025

The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of March 3. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  • Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
  • Plympton Street will be closed to vehicles at times during regular work hours to facilitate sewer disconnect at Russell Hall. Shawmut to extend street closure permit. Abutters will be notified. Vehicles seeking access to Plympton Street parking lot will be able to access the lot via Mass Ave.

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:

  • Masonry work on the exterior façade will continue for all buildings.
  • Masonry work will begin on the East Terrace outside of Westmorly Hall.
  • Helical pile installation will begin on the East Terrace outside of Westmorly Hall.
  • Roofing installation will continue on the Dining Hall & Library Commons roofs.
  • Window brickmold installation and painting at Westmorly & Russell Hall.
  • Mechanical work continues on the Westmorly roof.
  • Scaffolding dismantle will continue at Westmorly & Russell Hall.
  • Crane will be onsite Friday, March 7 for Russell Hall Cupola work. Crane will be within site fence.

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Framing and drywall will continue within Westmorly & Russell Hall.
  • Installation of new systems will continue within Westmorly & Russell Hall.
  • Spray foam insulation will continue within Westmorly & Russell Hall.
  • Floor prep & tile installation will continue within Westmorly.
  • Millwork installation will continue within Westmorly.
  • Hardwood flooring installation will continue within Westmorly.
  • Elevators will continue to be installed within Westmorly and Russell Hall.

SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH IMPACTS:

  • Masonry work continues adjacent to 9 Bow and 22 Plympton Street.
  • Masonry and carpentry material work will load in via Rear Lot.
  • Excavation and backfilling for utilities in the 22 Plympton Street lot will continue through Saturday, March 1.

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.
  • Saturday, March 8 2025 – Site Open from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
