Week of March 17, 2025

The following summarizes the utility work planned in the Littauer Lot for the week of March 17. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise

Dates: 3/17/25-3/21/25

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  • The previous work zone has been removed at the Jefferson Library where the new turnaround area has been constructed.
  • The work zone will now be established at the area of hydrant relocation along Holmes Walk near Paine Hall. Signage will be installed to direct pedestrians as needed.

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES: 

  • Excavation, relocation of a hydrant, and backfill will take place along Holmes Walk near Paine Hall. There is the potential for some noise impacts from excavation and relocation activities. Noise and vibration impacts are possible during the backfill operation as well.  The walkway will remain open to pedestrians during this work.

OTHER IMPACTS:

  • Water to Jefferson Hall, Paine Hall and Austin Hall will be shut off on Wednesday, March 19, to support the relocation of the hydrant. This work is scheduled from 7:00am to 3:00pm and has been coordinated with all the impacted abutters.

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.  
  • No plan to work Saturday, March 22, at this time.
