The following summarizes the utility work planned in the Littauer Lot for the week of March 31. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise
Dates: 3/31/25-4/4/25
PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:
- Work zones will be established with cones and candy canes at multiple manholes locations in the Littauer lot and at one location outside the Hemenway Gym entrance to allow for wire pulling along new duct bank alignment. The canes and cones will be removed at the end of each shift and any necessary pedestrian detours will be clearly marked. Access to all buildings will be maintained during this activity.
- Walkway between Paine Hall and Science Center will be blocked off during working hours on Thursday (4/3) thru Monday (4/7) to allow cable to be pulled to existing manhole. The walkway will be opened at the end of each shift.
- The work zone will be established with cones and candy canes on roadway in front of Paine Hall for repair of lighting conduit, Monday March 31st. This work zone will be removed at the end of the shift. Access to Paine Hall will be maintained during this work.
EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:
- McDonald Electric will continue to pull and rack wire in manholes. No noise or vibration impacts for this activity.
- As noted above, Bond and McDonald Electric will excavate and repair the lighting conduit feeding the Holmes Walk lights on Monday, March 31. The work zone is located in the parking lot in front of Paine Hall. Access to Paine Hall will be maintained during this work. This area will also be backfilled and restored. Noise and vibration impacts may be experienced from this operation.
OTHER IMPACTS:
- No other impacts are expected.
WORK HOURS:
- Monday 3/31/25-Friday 4/4/25 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- No plan to work Saturday 4/5/25 at this time.
