The following summarizes the utility work planned in the Littauer Lot for the week of April 14. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise
Dates: 4/14/25-4/18/25
PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:
- Work zones will be coned off at multiple manholes to allow work inside the manholes. Pedestrian detours are not expected, but will be clearly marked if necessary.
- Landscapers will be working throughout the site. No impacts to pedestrian traffic are expected, but detours will be clearly marked if necessary.
EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:
- McDonald Electric will be working inside the manhole located outside of Austin Hall installing equipment and wiring. A truck will need to idle during this work to provide power for lights and tools in the manholes. This will result in some moderate noise impacts.
- McDonald Electric will be splicing wire inside manholes throughout the Littauer parking lot. A truck will need to idle during this work to provide the manholes with power for lights and tools. This will result in some moderate noise impacts.
- F&L Landscaping will be prepping and installing sod in areas that were disturbed during the duct bank operation to the west and south of Austin Hall and along the walkway in front of Littauer Center. There will be some noise impacts from equipment for this operation.
OTHER IMPACTS:
- No other impacts are expected.
WORK HOURS:
- Work will be taking place this weekend on Saturday April 12, and Sunday April 13, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Monday, April 14 – Friday, April 18 – 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Tentative plan to work Saturday, April 19, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM if needed to maintain schedule.
