Week of May 19, 2025

The following summarizes the utility work planned in the Littauer Lot for the week of May 19. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise

Dates: 5/19/25-5/23/25

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

1. Workzones will be coned off at several manhole locations in the Littauer lot so work can safely take plan inside the manholes. The locations include outside of Austin Hall; on the lawn adjacent to the laydown area; to the south of Hastings Hall; and in the alleyway adjacent to Paine Hall.

2. For work in the alleyway adjacent to Paine Hall, a barrier will be constructed around the manhole during working hours and pedestrian traffic will be able to navigate around it. Signage will be in place.

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES: 

1. On Monday, May 19, McDonald Electric and Bond will be working inside the manhole located outside of Austin Hall, installing the exhaust fan and sump pump piping. There will be minimal noise impacts from this operation.

2. On Monday, May 19, a loader and dump truck will be on site to remove and clean up the sand following the May 16 groundbreaking ceremony . There will be some noise impacts from this operation.

3. Also on Monday, May 19, an excavator will be on site to re-locate the jersey barriers from the Jefferson Turnaround to the laydown yard in preparation for tent setup to support Commencement activities. There will be some noise impacts from this operation.

4. McDonal Electric will be working in multiple manholes next week in preparation for an electrical cutover scheduled for May 30. The exact date for this work has not been set. This work will not affect the power to any of the adjacent buildings and there will be minimal noise impacts from this operation.

OTHER IMPACTS:

  • No other impacts are expected.

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday 5/19/25-Friday 5/23/25 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.  
  • No plans to work Saturday 5/24/25 at this time.
