The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of May 26. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.
Dates: 5/26/25-6/1/25
PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:
- Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
- Periodic closures to Plympton Street for curbing preparation. 22 Plympton Street Lot will be accessible via Mass Avenue.
EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:
- Masonry work on the exterior façade will continue for all buildings.
- Masonry and landscaping work will continue on the East Terrace outside of Westmorly Hall.
- Excavation, concrete, and masonry work will continue on the South Elevation outside of Westmorly Hall.
- Roofing installation is ongoing on the Dining Hall & Library Commons roofs.
- Window brickmold installation and painting at Westmorly & Russell Hall.
- Curbing preparation and installation will begin on Wednesday, May 28. Starting at the top of Plympton St and working down to Bow St and across to upper Bow St. There will be some prep work for a new handicap ramp at the corner of Bow St and DeWolfe St (behind the old Democracy Center).
- Installation for a Gas service to the north side of the library is scheduled for Wednesday, May 28.
INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:
- Framing and drywall will continue within Westmorly & Russell Hall.
- Installation of new systems will continue within Westmorly & Russell Hall.
- Spray foam insulation will continue within Westmorly & Russell Hall.
- Floor prep & tile installation will continue within Westmorly.
- Millwork installation will continue within Westmorly.
- Hardwood flooring installation will continue within Westmorly.
- Elevators will continue to be installed within Westmorly and Russell Hall.
SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH IMPACTS:
- Masonry work continues adjacent to 9 Bow and 22 Plympton Street.
WORK HOURS:
- Limited interior work on Monday May 26, Memorial Day.
- Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.
- Saturday June 1, 2025 – Site Open from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
