PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  • Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
  • Plympton Street will be closed as needed to support façade repairs and lift access to the windows. Street Closure permits have been pulled. Access to upper Plympton will be available via MA Ave or the cut through from Linden Street
  • Furniture delivery will begin for Westmorly Court. Furniture trucks will be staged along the Upper Bow Curb along Westmorly Terrace.
  • Eversource will be back next week to continue with pulling wire to the 1200 MA Ave Project. This is not Harvard or Shawmut related. They showed up last Thursday un-announced and required access to our site. We couldn’t accommodate them on Thursday so they returned on Friday 7/18 and took over the area behind the Democracy Center. They will be back at the Democracy Center again this week and also next to Blue Bottle on Plympton Street this week.  

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:

  • Masonry & landscaping work will continue on the East Terrace outside of Westmorly Hall.
  • Window brickmold installation and painting at Westmorly & Russell Hall.
  • Conservatory skylight installation will continue.
  • Irrigation installation will continue as planned.
  • Repairs to the Dining Hall façade and columns will continue.
  • Doors and hardware will continue to be installed at exterior entrances.
  • Installation of granite pavers at East Terrace and bluestone pavers at West Entrance will continue.
  • Exterior handrail installation will continue.
  • Cleaning of materials at Lower Bow Street will begin.

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Floor prep & tile installation will continue within Westmorly and Russell Hall.
  • Millwork installation will continue within Westmorly and Russell Hall.
  • Hardwood flooring installation will continue in the Russell Hall Dining Rooms.
  • Elevators will continue to be installed at the Conservatory.
  • Sidewalk lift will continue to be installed for Westmorly Kitchen.
  • Wheel chair lift Installation will continue.
  • Fire alarm testing for Westmorly and Russell Hall will continue.
  • Final painting and flooring in the basement of Russell Hall will continue.

SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH IMPACTS:

  • Workers will be in the alley behind 9 Bow Street continuing with the louver Installation.
  • Installation of the Library chimney cap will continue from a lift on Plympton Street. This will be visible from 22 Plympton Street but won’t impact access to their building.
  • Gas trench will be backfilled adjacent to the 22 Plympton Street Lot.

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday-Friday 7am-6pm.
  • Saturday 7/26/2025 – Site Open from 9:00am to 4:30pm.

RANDOPH LAUNDRY ROOM:

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Drywall will continue.
  • Window modifications will begin.
  • Finishes tentatively scheduled for the end of next week.

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday-Thursday 7:00am to 3:30pm.
