Week of January 19, 2026

GENERAL OCCUPANT INFORMATION

1.    Work will be within designated construction areas unless noted otherwise. Project work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 
Some Saturday work between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. by permit may be necessary, with noisy work after 9:00 AM

2.    The plaza renovation project is targeting an end of May 2026 completion date.

3.    The front entrance will be offline through the remainder of the project. Entrance and egress of building will be through the loading dock door and the Northwest entry vestibule for the remainder of the project

4.    The temporary ADA ramp has been relocated from Kirkland Street to the Northwest location. Proper wayfinding signage has been posted to direct pedestrians to new temporary ADA Ramp location in driveway location. Refer to attached Phase 2 logistics plan.

5.    Site fencing has been installed along the remainder of the Kirkland Street sidewalk. No access to WJH from Kirkland St. will be available for remainder of the project.  Signage has been posted to direct pedestrians to alternate entrances to the building. 

6.   Parking reconfiguration has occurred as tent ballasts will be placed in front of the Northeast planter to support new tent. Six (6) parking spaces will be affected – GGC has created (2) temporary spots in this location, and they have given up all 4 construction parking spaces to accommodate all affected parking spaces. Please refer to attached logistics plan for more information. 

7.    There is no entry to William James Hall from Kirkland Street.  All access during Phase 2 will be at rear of building from temporary ramp adjacent to the Northwest vestibule.  

Additional wayfinding signage will be placed to direct pedestrians and vehicular traffic prior to start of Spring term.

8.  The site will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr holiday.

EXTERIOR WORK: Week of 1/19/26

  1. Trucking deliveries throughout the week.
  2. Use of lull at the South Plaza.
  3. Paver installation.
  4. Saw cutting, chipping, and removal of CIP concrete at the South Plaza (Demo and Abatement).
  5. Offloading of materials with heavy equipment at the South Plaza.

IMPACTS- Medium/high noise levels due concrete demolition and removal adjacent to Kirkland Street.

INTERIOR WORK: Week of 1/19/26

  1. Concrete repair prep in mechanical room.
