This summer, Harvard Law School completed the replacement of five air handling units located in the basement mechanical rooms of Pound Hall. The project mobilized in Pound Hall’s south mechanical room on May 19, 2025, with work fully mobilized on June 2. Work hours were Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The project was completed on schedule in August.
Pound Hall remained open during this project, however the first-floor classrooms were offline, and the Health Services Clinic was temporarily relocated to the Holyoke Center. The Pound Hall health clinic closed beginning end of the day, Friday, May 30, until Friday, August 1, with no patient access during this time. Signage was posted to provide guidance.
The project team made minimal use of the building’s elevators. Occasional deliveries arrived via the Lewis Hall traffic circle and were transported into the back of Pound Hall. Deliveries and trucks did not stop on Mass Ave.
