The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of June 30. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.
Dates: 6/30/25-7/6/25
PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:
- Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
- Plympton Street will be closed as needed to support sidewalk and paving repairs. Closure will also be needed to support lift access to the windows. Street Closure permits have been pulled. Access to upper Plympton will be available via MA Ave or the cut through from Linden Street
EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:
- Masonry & landscaping work will continue on the East Terrace outside of Westmorly Hall.
- Masonry Work will continue on the Lower Bow site walls.
- Roofing installation will continue at the Servery Roof and Lower Connector Roof
- Window brickmold installation and painting at Westmorly & Russell Hall.
- Conservatory Skylight installation will continue.
- Planting soil will be delivered and installed.
- Sidewalk installation will continue.
- Irrigation installation will continue as planned.
- Concrete scheduled for the trash enclosure at Lower Bow and Upper Bow this week.
INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:
- Framing and drywall will continue within Westmorly & Russell Hall.
- Floor prep & tile installation will continue within Westmorly and Russell Hall
- Millwork installation will continue within Westmorly and Russell Hall
- Hardwood flooring installation will begin in the Dining Hall and Lower Common Room
- Elevators will continue to be installed at the Conservatory
- Sidewalk Lift will continue to be installed for Westmorly Kitchen
- Equipment installation will continue in the Kitchen Areas
- Fire Alarm Testing for Westmorly tentatively scheduled to start on Thursday, July 3. Alarms may be heard throughout the day.
SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH IMPACTS:
- Window trim work will take place directly behind 22 Bow Street. A boom lift will be used for access.
- Construction of the waste and recycling area will continue. This is adjacent to the 9 Bow Handicap Ramp but wont affect access.
- Workers will be in the alley behind 9 Bow Street continuing with the Louver Install.
- Installation of the library chimney cap will continue from a lift on Plympton Street. This will be visible from 22 Plympton Street but won’t have impact to access to their building.
WORK HOURS:
- Monday-Wednesday 7am to 6pm.
- Thursday 7am to 3:30pm
- Friday, July 4 2025 the site will be closed for 4th of July Holiday.
- Saturday, July 5 – Site open from 9am to 6pm.
RANDOPH LAUNDRY ROOM:
INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:
- Materials will be brought out the Courtyard towards Linden Street and picked up with our Lull to the Dumpster staged at Phase 3
- There will be impairments to the Fire Alarm and Sprinkler System made periodically as needed.
- Mechanical and Electrical work will continue as planned
- Rough inspection scheduled for this week
