The following summarizes the work planned at Eliot House during the week beginning Monday, October 20, 2025:​​​​​

Dates: 10/20/25 – 10/26/25

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  • JFK Loading Dock. Hauling recycled materials. 2 Trucks Daily
  • Dunster Street: Pile drilling; Generating 3-4 tri-axle truckloads of spoils every 2 days.
  • Dunster Street: Pouring piles everyday (M-F) 10-12 BSG concrete trucks entering and exiting through Gate G on Dunster St. (Daily Street Sweeping)

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:

  • Demo of masonry banding around building.
  • Exterior washing of masonry façade – South East Building
  • Scaffold installation on the southeast building and Chimneys in the North
  • Demo / abatement of South East roof.
  • Continuous daily dumpster swaps during first shift off of Memorial Drive
  • Drilling Piles in Dunster Circle

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Saw cutting Basement Slabs
  • Drilling Piles in Basement
  • Demolition using lulls / trash chutes.
  • Removal of sub grade basement soils
  • MEP Coring through Slabs
  • Super Cap – Level 4

Weekend Activities:

  • NO WEEKEND WORK DUE TO Head of the Charles Regatta– 10/18/25 – 10/19/2025

KIRKLAND HOUSE IMPACTS:

  • Loading Dock: Demo contractor will continue loading debris from the connector demolition onto trailer dumps to haul offsite.
  • Loading Dock / Connector: Demo contractor will continue with misc. demo to clean up debris and structural elements along the Kirkland Façade and dispose
  • Loading Dock: Roofers Dumpster will be removed from the area middle of next week as slate roof demo in this area is now complete.
  • Dunster Street: Site contractor will continue with hauling materials in for backfill to support the drill rig for the Support of Excavation System. This will be multiple trailer dumps throughout the day.
  • Dunster Street: Concrete trucks are scheduled throughout the week for the install of the Support of Excavation System.
  • Dunster Street: Spoils from the drilling operation will be hauled off site towards the middle of next week utilizing Tri-Axels and/or Trailer Dumps.
  • Dunster Street: Police Details have been scheduled to assist with pedestrian safety and vehicular traffic.
  • Noisy work includes the continued driving of piles for the support of excavation for the connector. 

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday- Friday 7am-11pm (Two Shifts)
  • Saturday: No Work
