Project Information
Work at Wadsworth House located at 1341 Massachusetts Avenue began mid-July 2024 and was finished in August 2025.
The scope of work included replacing final section of roof in kind, structural repairs, MEP/FA systems enhancements, installing a new fire projection system, and improving accessibility throughout the property while respecting the property’s historic relevance.
- Most of the project took place in the interior of the house. Access was coordinated through the gates for material deliveries.
- Scaffolding and added overhead protection with lighting on the sidewalk was in place on the Mass Ave side of the building.
- To access Harvard Yard, the “Class of 1857 Gate” west and center portals remained open to pedestrian traffic throughout the project.
- Rear access to Wigglesworth was retained during this project as well.
