During the summer of 2024, Harvard Law School’s North Hall located at 1651 Mass Ave engaged a contractor to implement some ADA upgrades to the building. The project scope consisted of renovating seven student rooms, including bathrooms to achieve ADA compliance. Hearing-impaired communication features were added to 12 student rooms. The first floor visitor restrooms were renovated to create one accessible visitor restroom and an accessible kitchenette. The project scope also included reconstructing the concrete walkway at the main entrance, upgrading kitchen hoods, and adjusting door actuators at common room areas. Temporary fencing was placed in front of the building and a dumpster was located in the circular driveway to support this project.
Work began in May 2024, and was finished in mid-August 2024.
