Work on the Smith Campus Center roof is progressing according to schedule.
The contractor will continue to minimize inconvenience to the building’s occupants by sequencing work, so they are performing the loudest activities between 7:00 am and 9:00 am. After 9:00 a.m., building occupants may continue to experience some intermittent noise throughout the day due to the presence of work crews, the use of construction equipment, and power tools required to complete this project.
To update you, the contractors are progressing with the installation of the sheet metal. The drain replacement and gutter installation have been completed. The installation of flashing on the roof is expected to wrap up this week and joint sealant work is expected to begin next week. Please note, with the joint sealant work at the windows next week, the temp coverings that are currently in place will start to come down. With this progress, we can anticipate project completion in the coming weeks. We will provide another update when the project is winding down.
