Kresge Way and Extension of Thermal Pipes and Electrical Duct Bank

  • Punch list work will continue next week.
  • Sweeping and final striping is expected to take place.

Enterprise Research Campus (ERC)

  • Work is scheduled for this Saturday, June 8 starting at 7 a.m. 
    • The Treehouse Conference Center will have masons finishing core work and scaffolding removal.
    • The Residential/Hotel will be prepping for concrete.
  • Structural steel continues to be delivered and installed using the tower cranes at the lab buildings.
  • Hoists (exterior temporary elevators) are being installed at the residential and hotel buildings.
  • Concrete and rebar operations are ongoing.
  • Mass timber is being installed at the Treehouse conference center.
  • The Treehouse core work continues.
  • Intermittent use of power trowels for concrete finishing may take place after 6 a.m.
  • Work is progressing to level nine and ten of the high rise and midrise residential buildings. 
  • The hotel has steel installed to Level 10.
  • Four tower cranes are operating on site and are designed to move or “weathervane” in the wind when not operational.
  • Temporary power connections are complete, and generators are being removed.
  • Punchlist work and adjustments are ongoing on the Residential/Hotel, Conference Center, and Laboratory mockups with an occasional lane shift on Rotterdam Street for use of a lift and possible deliveries.
  • Drones will be in use weekly to monitor construction progress on site.
    • Drones will be operated by licensed pilots in accordance with Harvard University and the City of Boston regulations.
    • Flights are weather dependent and are scheduled on weekdays alternating weekly.
    • A drone flight will take place on Thursday, June 13 at 6 a.m.

92 Seattle Street

  • Curtainwall and interior work are scheduled to take place Saturday, June 8 during normal working hours starting at 7 a.m. 
  • Preparation work is underway for a mural set to be painted along the Rena Path side of the building.
  • Small concrete placements, storm water tank install and backfilling are underway for the addition on the façade and ramp area on the east side of the site.
  • Interior work continues to progress.

175 North Harvard Street,100 South Campus Drive, 201 Western Avenue Lot Expansion
Construction has begun on the new American Repertory Theater (ART), which will be located at the front of the 175 North Harvard parcel with the new Harvard University affiliate housing building already under construction behind it.

  • Work will take place Saturday, June 8 on the mock-up at the corner of North Harvard Street and Academic Way across from the site and on miscellaneous light activities on the site.
  • Ivy Lane has been restored.
  • Concrete form/rebar work and placement continue on the residential north elevator core tower, foundation walls and other areas.
  • A tower crane is operating on site. At the end of each shift, the crane will be left in weathervane mode with safety lighting turned inward.
  • South Campus Drive has been redirected to one way traffic from Western Avenue to North Harvard Street, occasional closures may be necessary.
    • Vehicles will not be allowed to enter from the North Harvard Street entrance to South Campus Drive. 

On the new American Repertory Theater (ART) work site, small concrete pours are taking place every couple of days and waterproofing operations continue. The project continues to work on the building’s footings and foundation walls, backfill operations, and duct bank work. Some excavation has begun on the site closest to North Harvard Street. Daily material deliveries for the backfill operations are ongoing.

  • Mockup installation for both buildings is ongoing across the street near Academic Way.
    • A fence will be removed on the North Harvard side of the street for better viewing by inspectors, scheduled for Monday, June 10.
    • A crane will be on site this week.
  • Soil is being stockpiled on site and is being covered to minimize dust.
  • Because concrete pours cannot be stopped mid-pour, some of these operations may occasionally go slightly later than 6 p.m. The contractor will make every effort to minimize this.
  • Wheel washing and street sweeping continues.
  • Deliveries are ongoing.
  • Site work hours are 7 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • The MBTA bus stop in front of the building has been relocated closer to South Campus Drive.
  • Lot expansion is underway at the 201 Western Avenue lot, where construction workers park and field offices are set up and in use.
  • Paving of the expanded lot area is taking place Friday, June 7 while prep work including excavating and grading continues inside the fence bordering Academic Way and behind the ArtLab.
  • During the expansion activity and for concrete placements intermittent use of the back gate will take place for truck staging and/or exiting.  

210 North Harvard Street

  • The fit-out team is installing an outdoor freezer in the loading dock area off Bertram Street.
  • Permanent power feeds will be connected later this spring.

108 Holton Street
Crews will be preparing to demolition this building during this three-month project.

  • Demolition is expected to begin in mid-June.

55 Antwerp Street

  • Utility work is complete with minor clean-up work.

Soldiers Field Garage Masonry Repairs Masonry repairs will take place on the northern brick exterior off the alley adjacent to the Soldiers Field Park Building 2. Crews have been setting up cables and staging from the roof deck.  A lift will be used to support this work from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday with set up beginning at 7 a.m.
