Enterprise Research Campus (ERC)
Residential/Hotel
- Saturday, August 3 activities will include erection of the exterior wall at the hotel, concrete support activities at the high-rise building with use of tower crane #2, clean up of the south side of the site, and exterior wall framing at the mid-rise building.
- Due to delivery constraints, some early morning activity may occur this week.
- Concrete decking and other operations continue.
- Hotel steel installation has topped off at level 17 and continues with work on the periscope, the cantilevered section of the building.
- The mid-rise residential building has topped off at their mechanical penthouse at level 9.
- The hoists (exterior construction elevators) and loading docks have been installed. The mid-rise hoist is operational.
- Work is progressing to level 17 of the high-rise building.
- Exterior sheathing is being installed on the residential buildings.
- Exterior curtain-wall panels are being installed at the hotel.
- MEP work is ongoing.
Laboratory and Office Buildings
- Topping off ceremony is planned for Friday, August 2.
- Workers will be on site for steel activities and for concrete preparation in the parking garage.
- Concrete operations continue with deck placements.
- The hoist is being installed on the southern side of the building.
- Structural steel continues to be delivered and installed on the east building with decking and detailing on the west building.
- The east building steel is up to level 8, and the west building has topped off finishing structural steel on the second mechanical penthouse above level 9.
- Utility installation is underway on the perimeter of the site.
- MEP work is ongoing.
Greenway
- Erection of the fence line will begin Monday, August 5.
Treehouse Conference Center
- A crew will be installing mass timber this Saturday, August 3 starting at 7 a.m. A crane and lifts will be in use.
- Mass timber installation and protection work continues next week.
- Core connection work continues.
Building Mock-Ups
- Punchlist work and other adjustments are intermittent on all five mockups.
General
- The site’s four tower cranes have been erected and are operational. They are designed to move or “weathervane” in the wind.
- The projects’ work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturdays as permitted by the City of Boston from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Intermittent use of power trowels for concrete finishing and layout for concrete placement may take place after 6 p.m.
- Drones will be in use bi-weekly to monitor construction progress on site.
- Drones will be operated by licensed pilots in accordance with Harvard University and the City of Boston regulations.
- Flights are weather dependent and are scheduled one weekday morning alternating weekly.

92 Seattle Street
- Renovation is finishing up for reuse of this Harvard building.
- East façade and ramp activity work will finish up.
- Concrete footings, walls and a ramp will be placed.
- Electrical connection work in coordination with Eversource is nearly complete.
- An exterior painting of a mural near Rena Path is finishing up.
- Crews are completing interior finish work.
- Tenant fit-out work is underway.
- Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with possible intermittent coordinated weekend work.
175 North Harvard Street, 100 South Campus Drive
Construction is underway on the new American Repertory Theater (ART), which will be located at the front of the 175 North Harvard parcel with the new Harvard University affiliate housing building already under construction behind it.
- The structural steel phase of the housing project began mid-July. Steel beams will be delivered on flat-bed trucks and will be offloaded and installed using the tower crane. Concrete decking will be taking place until mid-August.
- Miscellaneous mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades are on site working on under slab utilities.
- Bond is installing thermal piping until approximately August 15 in the Northeast corner of the job site.
- The tower crane will be in use, during normal working hours and will be placed in weathervane mode with safety lighting turned inward at the end of every shift.
- Wheel washing and street sweeping continues to ensure soil is not being tracked through the neighborhood streets.
- There may be periods of time where road closures on South Campus Drive are required due to increased trucking and the job site’s logistical constraints. When closures are needed, signage, police details, and traffic cones will be in position to provide guidance.
- Only construction vehicles are permitted to turn onto South Campus Drive from North Harvard Street for safety reasons and to improve traffic flow.
- All other vehicles are directed to access South Campus Drive from Western Ave.
On the new American Repertory Theater (ART) work site, excavation and concrete placements continue.
- On the new American Repertory Theater (ART) work site, crews are excavating for the final sequence of foundation and backfill. This foundation work will continue into August.
- Concrete and rebar work will continue through August. Backfilling is ongoing in the substage area.
- Formwork and waterproofing will be ongoing this week. Tie-ins for the mat slab work will begin this week.
- Building mock-ups to review design and constructability are underway across North Harvard.
- The curtain wall for the mock-up will be delivered in late August/early September.
- There is no planned activity on either work site Saturday, August 3.

General 175 North Harvard Street
- South Campus Drive is one way from Western Avenue to North Harvard Street, occasional closures may be necessary.
- Vehicles will not be allowed to enter from the North Harvard Street entrance to South Campus Drive.
- Because concrete pours cannot be stopped mid-pour, some of these operations may occasionally go slightly later than 6:00 p.m. The contractor will make every effort to minimize this.
- Wheel washing and street sweeping continues.
- Deliveries are ongoing.
- Site work hours are 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
- The MBTA bus stop in front of the building has been relocated closer to South Campus Drive.
210 North Harvard Street
- Permanent power feeds have been connected. Temporary power will be disconnected, and the pole removed.
108 Holton Street
- The building has been demolished and restoration of site is complete.
Soldiers Field Garage Masonry Repairs and Office HVAC Replacement
- Masonry repairs continue at the Soldiers Field Park Garage. Crews have been operating from staging with overhead protection in place. A lift will be used to conduct this work from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays with set up beginning at 7 a.m.
- A summer HVAC replacement project continues in the parking garage office.
