About this Project
Harvard University Real Estate (HRE) has engaged a contractor to perform repairs, resurfacing and restriping in the Smith Campus Center (SCC) Garage, including the Cambridge Trust Garage. Starting on Friday, November 3rd at 8pm, the garage will be closed to Monday, November 27th without access to parking spaces or bicycle parking.
To minimize inconvenience to the building’s occupants and visitors, the contractor plans to sequence any loud work early in the morning prior to 8am. After 8:00 a.m., building occupants may continue to experience intermittent noise due to the presence of work crews.
Furthermore, in an effort to assist with parking, Propark’s lot at 41 Church Street will enhance services to provide in lot attendant assisted parking to increase capacity and assist customers as well as a fully accessible shuttle that will operate to and from the SCC area on a continuous loop within the following hours:
- Monday through Friday: 7:30 am to 8:30 pm*
- Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 am to 6:30 pm*
*The shuttle will have a mandatory 30 minute break without service:
- Monday through Friday: 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 12:30pm to 1:00 pm and 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm
A covered seating area will be near the exit of the Church Street lot where the shuttle will be picking up and dropping off. The ramps at the SCC will remain open for traffic and ride share pick up and drop off. More information on shuttle specifics to follow.
