Week of April 29, 2024

The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of April 29. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  • Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
  • Trucking of soils and concrete will continue from Bow Street Gate 2.
  • A crane is scheduled to be on site Monday, April 29 and tentatively on Friday, May 3 to help support the installation of steel in the rear parking lot.

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES:

  • Masonry work on the exterior façade will continue. Repointing of stone on the North, South & West elevations of Russell Hall and cutting along the West & South elevation of the library commons, and the North & East elevation of Westmorly is progressing. Above the pool theater, within the Westmorly courtyard, cutting and washing activities will take place.
  • Abatement and demo of slate roof is expected to wrap up.
  • Masonry rebuild for the Russell Hall chimney’s is ongoing.
  • Masonry rebuild of the North façade of Westmorly will continue to occur.
  • Abatement and stripping continues for the exterior windows of Russell Hall on the South and West elevations.
  • On Monday, April 29, a pump truck will be on Bow Street for a concrete placement.
  • Man/material hoist will be operating while the site is open.
    1. On weekdays the lift will operate 7am-3:30pm and on Saturday it will be in operation from 9am-4:30pm.

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Interior wood framing and drywall activities will continue to occur in Westmorly.
  • Excavations for under slab utilities within Westmorly continues to progress.
  • Rebar & concrete work is progressing in Westmorly & Russell Hall.
  • Installation of new mechanical systems within Westmorly is ongoing.
  • Installation of the elevator shafts within Russell Hall and Westmorly Court will continue.

WORK HOURS:

  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 3:30pm
  • Saturday, May 4: 9am to 4:30pm
