Public Way Impacts

  • Harvard/Cambridge Police details will be posted at each intersection of Bow Street, Linden Street and Plympton Street.
  • Bow Street will remain closed in front of Randolph Hall from Linden to Plympton Street.
  • Plympton Street will have a drive lane and the sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.
  • Linden Street and Plympton Street will periodically be blocked to vehicle traffic for dumpster swaps, deliveries, and to move machinery.
  • A site fence has been installed, including lighting and signage.
  • Dumpster swaps will continue at the north end of Plympton Street, Bow Street, and the courtyard.
  • Continuous deliveries will happen at Linden, Plympton, and Bow Streets.
  • From 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Tuesday Sept. 20th through Thursday Sept. 22nd, the Tower Crane located in the courtyard will be removed. This operation will require a shutdown of Linden Street for vehicles and pedestrians.

Exterior Site Activities

  • Utility work will begin to take place in the courtyard.
  • Installation of the courtyard balconies will continue.
  • Snow fence rails will be installed at the roof.
  • Gutters and downspouts will be installed on Plympton and Bow Street.
  • Removal of the exterior elevation staging will begin.
  • Mortar washing will occur.
  • Minor miscellaneous activities will occur on Plympton, Linden, and Bow Street.

Interior Site Activities

  • Framing will take place on the ground floor as well as the 4th floor.
  • Insulation will occur on the 4th floor.
  • Window installation will continue on the ground floor.
  • Work in the basement is ongoing.
  • Taping, plastering, and finishing will continue on the 1st and 2nd floors.
  • Installation of tile, trim, wood flooring, bathroom vanity tops, and brackets will occur on the 3rd floor.
  • Elevator number 2 will be installed.
  • Installation of risers for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection will continue, as well as overhead rough-ins.
