Public Way Impacts

  • Harvard/Cambridge Police details will be posted at each intersection of Bow Street, Linden Street and Plympton Street.
  • Bow Street will remain closed in front of Randolph Hall from Linden Street to Plympton Street.
  • Plympton Street will have a drive lane and the sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.
  • Linden Street and Plympton Street will periodically be blocked to vehicle traffic for dumpster swaps, deliveries, and to move machinery.
  • A site fence has been installed, including lighting and signage.
  • Dumpster swaps will continue at the north end of Plympton Street, Bow Street, and the courtyard.
  • Continuous deliveries will happen at Linden, Plympton, and Bow Streets.
  • On Monday October 24, 2022, Plympton Street will be closed for a delivery. Vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be impacted at the corner of Plympton Street and Bow Street from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Vehicles will be detoured down Mt. Auburn Street and pedestrians will be detoured to DeWolfe Street. Parking will be restricted on Bow Street between Plympton Street and DeWolfe Street.

 Exterior Site Activities

  • Utility work will continue to take place in the courtyard.
  • Installation of balconies on Plympton Street will continue as well as the installation of the snow fence rails at the roof.
  • Removal of the exterior west elevation staging is ongoing.
  • Gutters and downspouts will be installed on Linden Street.
  • Mortar washing will continue as well as minor miscellaneous activities on Plympton Street and Linden Street.

 Interior Site Activities

  • Framing will continue to take place on the ground floor and in the basement.
  • Insulation and framing will continue to occur on the 4th floor.
  • Installation of trim, bathroom vanity tops, and brackets on the 3rd floor is ongoing.
  • Taping, plastering, and finishing will continue on the 1st and 2nd floors.
  • Tile will be installed on the 2nd floor as well as wood flooring.
  • Installation of elevator number 2 is ongoing.
  • Installation of risers for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection will continue, as well as overhead rough-ins.
