Week of April 22, 2024

The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of April 22. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.
 
PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  • Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
  • Trucking of soils and concrete will continue next week from Bow Street gate 2.
  • A crane is scheduled for steel Install in the rear parking lot on Wednesday April 24.

EXTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Masonry work on the exterior façade will continue. Repointing of stone on the North, South & West elevations of Russell Hall and cutting along the West & South elevation of the library commons, and the North & East elevation of Westmorly will occur.
  • Abatement and demo of slate roof on the dining hall will take place.
  • Crane activity for the chimney demo at Russell Hall will continue.
  • Masonry rebuild for Russell Hall chimney’s is ongoing.
  • Abatement and stripping will continue for the exterior windows of Russell Hall on the South and West elevations.
  • Installation of scaffolding at the Russell Hall Cupola remains ongoing.
  • Man/material hoist will be operating while the site is open.
    • On weekdays the lift will operate 7am-3:30pm and on Saturday it will be in operation from 9am-4:30pm.

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Interior wood framing and drywall activities will continue to occur in Westmorly.
  • Excavations for under slab utilities within Westmorly is progressing.
  • Rebar & concrete work will continue in Westmorly & Russell Hall.
  • Installation of new mechanical systems within Westmorly is ongoing.

  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 3:30pm
  • Saturday, April 27: 9am to 4:30pm
