Public Way Impacts

  • Harvard/Cambridge Police details will be posted at each intersection of Bow Street, Linden Street and Plympton Street.
  • Bow Street will remain closed in front of Randolph Hall from Linden to Plympton Street.
  • Linden Street will periodically be blocked to vehicle traffic for dumpster swaps, deliveries, and to move machinery.
  • A site fence has been installed, including lighting and signage.
  • Dumpster swaps will continue at the north end of Plympton Street, Bow Street, and the courtyard.
  • Continuous deliveries will happen at Linden, Plympton, and Bow Street.
  • Plympton St. will be closed to vehicle traffic from Monday, October 3, through Friday, November 4, for excavation work on a sewer connection to Randolph. The sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians Work hours will be 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Vehicles will be detoured down Mt. Auburn St. to access Mass Ave. Plympton Street will be re-opened at the end of each workday.

Exterior Site Activities

  • Utility work will continue in the courtyard.
  • Utility work will occur on Plympton Street.
  • Snow fence rails will be installed on the roof.
  • Masonry louver openings will be cut.

Interior Site Activities

  • Frame activities will take place on the 4th floor, ground floor, and basement.
  • Spray insulation will be installed on the 4th floor.
  • Taping, plastering, finishes will occur on the 2nd and 1st floors.
  • Tiles and wood floors will be installed on the 2nd floor.
  • Installation of trim will take place on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
  • Bathroom vanity tops and brackets will be installed on the 3rd floor
  • Elevator installation will continue.
  • Installation of risers for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection will continue, as well as overhead rough-ins.
