Public Way Impacts

  • Harvard/Cambridge Police details will be posted at each intersection of Bow Street, Linden Street and Plympton Street.
  • Bow Street will remain closed in front of Randolph Hall from Linden to Plympton Street.
  • Linden Street will periodically be blocked to vehicle traffic for dumpster swaps, deliveries, and to move machinery.
  • A site fence has been installed, including lighting and signage.
  • Dumpster swaps will continue at the north end of Plympton Street, Bow Street, and the courtyard.
  • Continuous deliveries will happen at Linden, Plympton, and Bow Streets.
  • Linden Street will be closed to vehicle traffic Monday, November 21 from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM for the installation of balconies on the west facade. A boom lift and crane will be set up on Linden Street to assist with the installation. Vehicles will be detoured down Mass. Ave. to Dunster Street. The sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians and Linden Street will re-open at the end of the workday.

 Exterior Site Activities

  • Utility work will continue to take place in the courtyard.
  • Work on a sewer line within the site fence is ongoing on Plympton Street.
  • Masonry work will continue.
  • Work activities on the wall foundations and stairs will continue to occur in the courtyard.
  • Balconies will be installed on Linden Street.

 Interior Site Activities

  • Framing activities will continue to take place on the ground floor, in the basement and on the 4th floor.
  • Insulation is ongoing on the ground floor and in the basement.
  • Taping, plastering, and finishing will continue on the 1st and 2nd floors.
  • Installation of bathroom vanity tops and brackets on the 3rd floor is ongoing.
  • Wood flooring continues to be installed on the 2nd floor.
  • Stairs will continue to be restored and installed.
  • Installation of trim on the 2nd floor is ongoing.
  • Tile will continue to be installed on the 1st and 2nd floor.
  • Elevator installation is ongoing.
  • Installation of risers for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection will continue, as well as overhead rough-ins.
