Public Way Impacts

  • The Project Site will be closed on Monday Dec. 26th for the observed Christmas Holiday.
  • Harvard/Cambridge Police details will be posted at each intersection of Bow Street, Linden Street and Plympton Street.
  • Bow Street will remain closed in front of Randolph Hall from Linden to Plympton Street.
  • Linden Street and Plympton Street will periodically be blocked to vehicle traffic for dumpster swaps, deliveries, and to move machinery.
  • A site fence has been installed, including lighting and signage.
  • Dumpster swaps will continue at the north end of Plympton Street, Bow Street, and the courtyard.
  • Continuous deliveries will happen at Linden, Plympton, and Bow Streets.

Exterior Site Activities

  • Work on the subgrade in the courtyard is ongoing.
  • The stairs and the Apthorp wall located in the courtyard will continue to be rebuilt.
  • Balcony supports will continue to be installed on Linden Street.
  • Underground utilities will be installed within the site fence on Linden Street.
  • Installation of pavers will take place on Plympton Street.
  • Excavation and backfilling at the steam tunnel is ongoing.
  • Backfilling and other work activities on the wall foundations and stairs in the courtyard will continue to occur.

Interior Site Activities

  • Spray insulation is ongoing on the ground floor and in the basement.
  • Taping, plastering, and finishing will continue on the 1st and the 4th floor.
  • Tile installation is ongoing on the 1st and 2nd floor.
  • Wood flooring continues to be installed on the 2nd and 1st floor.
  • Installation of trim on the 1st and 2nd floor is ongoing.
  • Restoration of the stairs will continue.
  • Elevator installation is ongoing.
  • Installation of risers for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection will continue, as well as overhead rough-ins.
