175 North Harvard Street Project Construction Impacts Update
- Project enabling activities continue in preparation for building construction.
o Soil removal from the site continues and completion is planned for early March.
o Truck traffic in and out of the site will remain steady throughout the day during standard work hours.
o Wheel washing and street sweeping continues to ensure soil isn’t being tracked through the streets.
o Temporary electrical infrastructure is being installed for construction power.
o Site dewatering is ongoing.
o Installation of below grade waterproofing is starting soon.
o Installation of concrete mud mats will begin before the end of the month. Concrete pours will take place
during normal working hours and will increase truck traffic in and out of the site. - Beginning the week of March 4, only construction vehicles will be permitted to turn on to South Campus Drive
from North Havard Street to help improve traffic flow and safety around the job site. All other vehicles will be
directed to access South Campus Drive from Western Ave. - The project’s regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Work on Saturdays may be
necessary as permitted by the City of Boston from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
