With the utility work on Rotterdam Street finishing up, neighbors can expect to see the roadway fully open to traffic by mid-August.
Once Rotterdam is open, the new Boston Transportation Department (BTD)-approved traffic pattern will go into effect on Windom Street, turning the section of Windom between Hopedale and Amboy Streets into a one-way road in the direction of Cambridge Street
This new traffic pattern will reduce the number of vehicles using Windom Street as a cut through to Western Ave. It will also help ensure large trucks are not accessing Harvard’s Science and Engineering Center via Windom Street.
