175 North Harvard Street Project Construction Impacts Update
• The job site will be active on Monday, January 15.
• Project enabling activities continue through January in preparation for building construction.
o Building demolition activities are complete.
o Soil excavation and hauling soil away from the site are ongoing for the next few weeks.
o Third-party engineers continue to monitor the dust, noise, and vibration monitors that are positioned around the work site to ensure construction activities remain within safe and acceptable levels.
• The contractor is working to schedule the removal of some large equipment from the job site during the second week of January. The exact date is being coordinated. This work will need to take place between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. as equipment of this size is only allowed on the roadways between these hours.
• Thermal piping installation work continues with anticipated completion planned for early this month.
• The project’s regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Some work on Saturdays may be necessary as permitted by the City of Boston from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
