Week of April 15, 2024

The following summarizes the work planned on the Adams House Phase 3 renovation for the week of April 15. Please note that items in BOLD are expected to generate some noticeable noise.

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  • Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps will occur throughout the week.
  • Trucking of soils and concrete will continue next week from Bow Street Gate 2.
  • Please note, no work is scheduled to occur on Monday, April 15 due to the Patriot’s Day holiday.


EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES: 

  • Masonry work on the exterior façade will continue, as well as repointing of the stone on the North, West and South elevations of Russell Hall and cutting along the West and South elevations of the library commons, and the North and East elevations of Westmorly.
  • Roof demolition will begin at the Dining Hall.
  • Rebuilding of the Russell Hall chimneys continues. 
  • Crane activity for the chimney demo at Russell Hall is ongoing. 
  • Abatement activities will continue for the exterior windows on the South and West elevations of Russell Hall.
  • Installation of scaffolding at Russell Hall will continue.
  • Man/material hoist will be operating while the site is open.
    • On weekdays the lift will operate 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and on Saturdays it will be in operation from 9 a.m. -4:30 p.m. 


INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Interior wood framing and drywall activities will continue in Westmorly.
  • Excavation activities for under slab utilities within Westmorly are ongoing.
  • Rebar and concrete work will continue.
  • Installation of new mechanical systems will occur within Westmorly.

 
WORK HOURS:

  • Monday, April 15: Jobsite Closed (Patriot’s Day)
  • Tuesday to Friday: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Saturday April 20: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
