Week of July 17, 2023

The following update is a summary of the renovation work taking place at Russell Hall, Library Commons, and Westmorly Court (Adams House/Phase 3) next week:

PUBLIC WAY IMPACTS:

  1. Continue with site fence and jersey barrier set up (Police details will be ordered as needed).
  2. Continuous deliveries and dumpster swaps throughout the week.
  3. Eversource is scheduled to remove the gas meters from the building just behind 22 Plympton property.

EXTERIOR SITE ACTIVITIES(Items in Bold are expected to generate some noticeable noise)

  1. Civil Contractor will be working on Test Pits to identify underground utilities at Lower Bow Street. Work expected to take place on Wednesday, July 19, through Friday, July 21 between 7am and 3:30pm.
  2. Masonry Work on the exterior façade will continue.
  3. Scaffolding erection will start at the East Terrace and then the southwest corner of Russell Hall.
  4. Abatement of windows will continue.
  5. Install of the temporary standpipes on the exterior of Russell and Westmorly will start.
  6. Set up of site barriers at back parking lot.
  7. Removal of refrigerant from kitchen & servery cooling units.

INTERIOR ACTIVITIES:

  1. Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP)  make safe and temp fire alarm/temp power will continue.
  2. Temporary protection will continue.
  3. Demo of Interior wood trim, kitchen equipment and ancillaries will continue.

WORK HOURS:

  1. Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm
  2. Saturday 7/22 9am to 4:30pm
